A scroll saw pattern will not get much easier than this one. Just print the included photo on high-quality photo paper and cut the frame. The whole project will only take 30 minutes.

This is the type of project you see in Hobby Lobby and gift shop stores. There is a reason you see so many of this type of product. They can be made for pennies and they still look nice. With the right photo and words, they can sell for many times their cost to make. If you sell at craft shows or markets, this is the type of product that can make your fee back. You just have to find a photo and saying that draws attention. Now let's just hope we have craft shows again someday.

I included the photo in the picture above as well as a blank template for a guide to use your own photo.

If you need high-quality public domain photos then check out this link. Any graphics program will allow you to add lettering.

This house frame is 7.25" tall.

I'm going to try something different this winter.

Amazon

Let me start by saying this is not a review. I just installed this heater today. It is also linked to my Amazon affiliate page but it is currently unavailable. There is no indication of when it will be back in stock.

Why the change from Kerosene to electric. I have always disliked the maintenance of a Kerosene heater. Changing the wick is a royal pain with my heater. I have also never liked the smell. I add a chemical that suppresses the odor but I still smell it. The great thing about Kerosene is the cost of operation.

A five-gallon can will get me through most of the winter for about $40. That is very cheap. Our winters are mild compared to some places but we have many sub 32 degree nights.

This wall-mounted 1500 watt space heater will not be cheap to run. I am calculating it will cost me about $25 to $30 a month if I use the timer to control when it is running. About six hours a day. Way more expensive than Kerosene.

The electric heater also takes three times longer to heat my two-car insulated garage workshop.

The things I do like are the turn-off timer, odor-free, remote control, and ease of use. Do those outweigh the extra expense? I don't know yet.

I am able to work comfortably between 65 and 70 degrees. Today it was a high of 36 degrees outside and the heater was able to make that comfort range. It took about an hour to warm up to that range from a start of 51 degrees in the shop. If your shop is not insulated then this heater will probably not be very effective. You would likely need to go with a 220vac higher wattage heater.

The heater cost me $139. If it does not work out for me in the shop I will install the included feet and take it inside for a space heater. Time will tell.
