You can also use coins as your reference weight. Remember that we are only estimating the weight.
Quarter 5.6g
Nickle 5g
Dime 2.3g
Penny 2.5g
Add and remove coins to get a set weight.

The coins were 29g. The package of magnets was 28.5g. The needle is just slightly pointed toward the coins.

The accuracy of this project is more important than most. The empty scales need to balance. I give tips in the pattern on ways to counter any errors in cutting. This includes stack cutting and part flipping. It is actually not that difficult but it does need attention to detail.

I am behind. I needed to take care of my injured dog.

My dog, Holly needed to have surgery on Wednesday to repair a leg socket that kept dislocating. It finally popped out and would not go back. This was a birth defect. The surgeon enlarged the socket to hopefully give the cartridge more stability. She is home now but struggles to walk or go pee, drink, or eat. Patty and I are making sure she is comfortable and her needs are met. It is taking quite a bit of time but she is worth it. :)

To make a long story longer, she has needed some attention so I am a little behind on email and orders. I will get all the paid Catalog and Signature coin orders shipped today.

Email is another story. I am answering as many as possible but I have over 2,000 unanswered. That might be a couple more than I can answer today. Sorry. I am looking through them to try and answer all order related email and anything that seems it can't wait. I'll do my best.

Thanks for your patience.
