WWI Fighter Planes Scroll Saw Pattern.

This WWI fighter plane pattern is 13" wide. I did not add much detail to the planes. This makes the pattern easy to cut.

You could also use an inexpensive material like MDF if you like the painted effect below.

Passion:

I was texting with my sister earlier today. She recently retired and was looking for something to keep her busy. She decided to try painting. Now keep in mind that my sister has always believed she had no artistic talent.

She completed her first painting and enjoyed the process very much. She enjoyed it so much that she woke up the next day thinking about starting another painting. She was hooked and felt the passion to keep going.

I often tell people who tell me they can't use a scroll saw that they can if they just work through the first small failures(perceived failures).

Art has more to do with passion than talent.  If you find your passion then you will struggle through early failures. Those early failures stop 95% of people from trusting that they can do it. You can do it.

Don't let that inner voice crush your passion. Your passion will drive you to improve. As your passion grows you will tell that inner negative voice to go take a hike.

Don't be one of the 95% who let an early failure(perceived failure) stop you. Those early disappointments are what makes success so satisfying when they happen. If you keep trying then success is going to happen.

If you are one of the folks who received a scroll saw for Christmas then you may just be at the point of deciding if you will continue or leave the hobby. I would just ask that you tell your inner negative voice to leave the room while you make your decision.
