Letter and Number Alphabet Templates with Flower Decorations.

Download the Pattern Below

These are large templates of all letters and numbers with a flower decoration. Each page of the pattern book has one large letter or number.

Many of you tell me that you print the pattern right after you download it. This pattern book is 39 pages so be prepared for that. Remember that all print dialogs have the option to print just the current page. You do not have to print the entire pattern book.

In the image below I am showing what the letters look like with a backer board. It gives a slightly different look. The best way to cut the backer board is stack cutting. After the letters are cut remove the backer board and cut the decorations. This insures a perfect match between the backer and the letter.

You can make an easy house ornament with these templates. Draw and cut a circle large enough for the letter and you have a nice Initial decoration. In the simulated image below I am showing a glue-up of weather and painted boards cut into a 12" circle.

Another Cool Gnome project, this time by Eddy Matthew:

I keep receiving emails about the gnome pattern I designed and posted a while back. Many people are asking for more, especially a female gnome. I'll see if I can get my head wrapped around what a girl gnome looks like and see what I can come up with something.

Today's reader-submitted gnome photo is from Eddy Matthew. He made this for his granddaughter who likes gnomes. Eddy just grabbed some old scraps of wood and made this incredible little gnome mushroom home for the gnome.

In my opinion, this is another project where the choice of woods was excellent. That looks like a mushroom!. Notice the choice of grain direction to add to the form of the mushroom. I have been to a bunch of scroll saw shows where this project would have won a ribbon. Simple but expertly executed.

I still use my Pegas scroll saw every day. I am lucky to own a few scroll saws and the Pegas is right at the top of the list as far as quality and ease of use. If you are looking to move up from an entry or mid-level saw then the Pegas 21" saw should be on your shortlist of candidates.

The Pegas Scroll Saw - Why is it better?

While it’s made in the same factory in Taiwan where the Excalibur scroll saw used to be made, Pegas has added Swiss precision and engineering to their scroll saw. Let’s start with a beefed up chassis featuring a reinforced web in the connecting rod and vertical rocker and needle bearings pressed into the rocker arm as opposed to a sleeve and bolt connection that is prone to wear and failure. Next, the saw comes with the revolutionary Pegas Blade Chuck Heads installed (a $90 value).
These precision-machined blade clamps, manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminum, can be adjusted easily to grip blades better than any other clamp on the market, and weigh less to reduce wear on your machine. Finally, the table boasts a thick, scratch-resistant coating that prevents corrosion and make the wood slide easier. The saw still boasts the precision rack-and-pinion system that tilts the saw head to make angled cuts (instead of tilting the table). It tilts a full 45-degrees to the right, and 35-degrees to the left (because of the dust collection port). It also positions all of the primary controls (speed, power, and blade tension) at the front of the top saw arm. A stand and foot switch are available.
