Sneak Peek at a New and Exciting Scroll Saw:
3/4" thick Baltic birch plywood. 48" X 38"
I want to give you more information about this new scroll saw but I signed an NDA until the manufacturer announces that they are shipping the product. They did allow me to show a project that I cut while reviewing this scroll saw. The project in the photo above is 48 " X 38.5". It's huge.
The specs on this new scroll saw are amazing. It has a cut capacity of 56 inches. The depth of the cut is 6 inches. I had to remove my table saw and planner just to get the new scroll saw into my shop. They sent it on a truck with a lift gate. It took two guys to roll in into my shop. The weight is somewhere around 600lbs.
When I made my first cut I broke the blade. They only sent me one blade so I called to get a replacement. They said that 12 blades would cost around $300 including shipping. They kindly sent me two blades so I could finish this project.
They have not announced pricing yet but I'm told it will be priced in the $20,000 range. I have a coupon code for you to get 1% off the full retail price. That brings it down to $19,800. That is going to be difficult to pass up.

I received this cute Wooden Bank book in the mail today.
The author, Harvey Helm wanted to show me his creations. The book has been around for a few years so some of you may have seen it.
The book was published by Fox Chapel Publishing. They always do a nice job with their books and this one is no exception. Amazon has it rated at 5 stars.
I took a few photos right out of the book to give you an idea of the style of projects it has. These are easy and cute at the same time.
I especially liked the way to used the legs to open the bank.
