Simple Bird Feeder Scroll Saw Pattern.

I kept this bird feeder pattern very simple so you can paint and decorate it however you like. This might be a good project to let the kids decorate for Mother's Day

There are only seven parts and two of them can be stack cut. It took me about 1.5 hours to cut so you could easily make a few in a day's work. I used 1/4" Baltic birch plywood so the cost of the material is between $8 and $11 depending on where you get the plywood. If you can buy full sheets of BB ply the price goes way down.

No-Slip Glue Ups.

Here is a quick tip that can be very handy. When you have two boards that need to be glued face to face, it is often difficult to clamp them without slipping. If you don't notice the movement and let the glue cure you may need to start over because of misaligned parts.

Salt can help. Apply a coat of glue to the surface of the board. Sprinkle just a few grains of salt into the glue. Now when you clamp the two pieces of wood together the salt embeds slightly in both pieces and prevents them from slipping.

This is not a baked potato. We are talking about just a few grains of salt.
