From a 2019 survey, it was estimated that 87 million people worldwide played tennis. 47% of them were female and 53" were male. North America is the only area to have a higher percentage of female tennis players than males. 55% are female in North America.

On average, best-of-3 tennis matches last about 90 minutes, while best-of-5 matches last 2 hours and 45 minutes. The fastest professional tennis matches ever lasted about 20 minutes, while the longest match ever extended for a historic 11 hours and 5 minutes.

Novak Djokovic is the current men's number 1 player. He has career earnings of $151,876,636. Novak is 34 years old.

Ashleigh Barty is the current women's number 1 player. She has career earnings of  $21,104,531 and is only 25 years old.

If you have a tennis player in your family this might be a gift they would enjoy.

Richard Crees shares the scroll saw he has used for 66 years.

Guys this is a special video that was posted on YouTube a couple of days ago. I love this video.

How many of you think your scroll saw will last 66 years? In this video, Richard shows the scroll saw he received from his parents when he was 7 years old. He has used it all these years and is about to finally retire it. He shows how it operates and tells information about the tool.

I was blown away when Richard said he still had the first project he cut with this saw. At the end of the video, he shows the birdhouse he made for his grandparents in 1954. It is a beautiful birdhouse for a 7-year-old or a grown adult. It is still in excellent condition.

He also has the second project he made. It is a small leaf shelf. Just for fun I quickly recreated a rough pattern of the leaf shelf in his video. Here is a link to that pattern. Use 1/4" thick wood.

As an added bonus, look around his shop as he moves around. You can tell he has lots of interests. Richard is a man who knows how to stay busy and have fun.

Thanks for the video, Richard.
