DIY Hangers Scroll Saw Pattern.

I was experimenting with this project. I am making no guarantee that this will work long term, I trust the round hanger more than the sawtooth but they both held the rock without failing.

There are two styles of hangers in this pattern. There is a round hanger and a sawtooth hanger. I had no idea if these would hold without breaking so I tested them with a 7lb rock.

Both hangers held the rock without breaking. The sawtooth hanger was stressed more than the round hanger. I could see the sawtooth flexing. My guess is that the max weight for the sawtooth is about 3lbs. The round hanger is approximately double that or more.

This hanger is pretty strong.

These photos show the hangers mounted to the back of the test jig. In both cases, the screws should have been countersunk but I was just testing.

This hanger held the 7lb rock but I would not push it too far.

I made a few different sizes for each style of the hanger.

Since these are cut from 1/8" thick Baltic birch plywood they are perfect for stack cutting.

I believe these will be fine for small scroll saw projects that need to hang on the wall. If you buy the Mona Lisa I would probably skip the DIY hangers. 😁
