This is a small tray for perfume, candles, etc. It is cut from 1/4" thick wood. I used Baltic birch plywood for this prototype. Hardwood is a better choice for a more finished look.

I forgot to hit send yesterday so the newsletter did not go out. I had today's pattern designed before I realized what happened so I am just posting them both.
We are trying to get all the arrangements for the move completed. My mind is in two places at once. :)
Why is it that doing two things at once was easy twenty years ago but now it is almost impossible for me?
We have dozens of boxes packed and sitting in the front room. I used to start packing a couple of days before a move. Now I start a couple of months before. Some of that time is because we are slower and some of it is that we have too much junk. We have found things that I don't ever remember buying.
I have made two trips to Habitat for Humanity with a pickup load full of donations. I will probably have another trip or two with more stuff. How do we accumulate so much stuff over the years? The crazy thing is that we went and rented a storage unit at the new location so we can keep stuff that we don't want to move to the new house.
I accuse my wife of keeping too much stuff but after this week I realized that I am just about as bad. I found computer parts that are close to 20 years old. I have quite a bit of stuff that cannot go in the regular trash. I plan to find out today where I can dispose of out-of-date chemicals and electronics. Just one more thing to add to the to-do list. 🙄
