Explaining Scroll Saw Blades Part 2 by Lesley de Abaitua
Yesterday I posted a link to a video. At the time I did not know the name of the young lady but several of you shared that info with me. Her name is Lesley de Abaitua.
I mentioned that Lesley did a wonderful job sharing information about scroll saw blades. I was impressed that she was able to give all that information in under two minutes. Even my short attention span can handle two minutes.
Well in part 2 she does it again. There is even more detailed information this time and it took her an extra 3 seconds. :)

I am no expert on fire extinguishers but I am trying to learn more.
This is not purchasing advice. I am not qualified to give an expert opinion. I have been researching fire extinguishers so I can buy an appropriate one for my new shop.
As woodworkers, we have all the ingredients for a fire in our shops. We have fuel in wood, sawdust, chemicals, and electrical connections. It is not uncommon for me to receive an email from a woodworker who just lost their shop to a fire.
In many cases, our shops are attached to our houses which even adds more urgency to selecting a fire extinguisher.
Fire extinguishers are rated for the types of fire they are designed to extinguish. They also have ratings for the size of the fire that can be reasonably fought.
Because we have the possibility to have different types of fires in a workshop I have decided to go with a multipurpose fire extinguisher(shown above). It is rated for ordinary combustibles, flammable liquids, and fires involving live electrical.
I know I have firefighters in the group so if you think this extinguisher is appropriate for a woodworking shop I would love to hear your thoughts.
