These Initial Snow Flakes are designed at 8". You could print at 150% to get 12" snowflakes. If you are using the default Adobe Reader it has a Poster print feature. At 150% the snowflake will print on four sheets of paper.
This is a very simple pattern to cut. Depending on the initial there may be no interior cuts. Even the letters with interior cuts are very large. This is a great pattern for folks with pin-end only blade scroll saws.
Because you are probably going to paint this project you can use inexpensive material. Just about any 1/4" think plywood will work as long as you can cover it cleanly with paint.
