I have lived in a city my entire life. I have never lived further than a couple miles from a K-mart, Sears, or Grocery store. Our new home is in the county between two very small towns. Now don't get me wrong, we are far from living out in the country. We are still in a subdivision but there are wooded areas and we even heard a rooster the other day. Mind blown.
I walked out on the back deck the other night and looked up at an incredible sky full of stars. Our neighborhood has no street lights and when it gets dark it gets really dark. There are construction noises during the day but after about 6pm it is very quiet.
We have a wooded area behind our house and I can't wait for the leaves to start to change color. Even now I find myself sitting at my computer and looking out the window at the trees and birds. So far I have seen an owl and a small fox.
It has been a bit cool here for the last couple of days. It feels like fall is actually coming. That inspired this pattern today. Fall is in the air and I think I am going to enjoy it more this year than ever.
