This New Year Gnome is just over ten inches tall. He is cut from 1/4" plywood and painted. In the simulated image above I am just showing suggestions for colors. Paint with the colors you like.
As you can see from the parts below, this is an easy pattern. The only real challenge is cutting the letters. You could optionally not cut the letters and draw them with a marker. That will make the pattern beginner level with no interior cuts.
