This jewelry tree stands a little over ten inches tall. I cut the test project out of 1/4" Baltic birch plywood. This is one of those projects that I would probably use hardwood if I were going to gift the finished piece.

I also used 3/16" wood dowels and 1/8" BB ply for the standoffs. Substitute material thickness as needed.

I ran across this DIY scroll saw build today on YouTube. Most of the time these homemade saws leave a lot to be desired. This one actually looks usable. His build skills are very good. He keeps the build relatively simple.
