This layered horse sculpture stands a little over 7" tall. All the pieces are 1/4" thick except I use 1/8" for the mane. You can use 1/4" for all the pieces and it should look fine. I did not do any contouring of the pieces but that would probably look nice. Contour the body front layer into the neck. Slightly round over all the parts.
I have received a few emails lately asking me about the new WEN 21" scroll saw. I honestly know very little about the saw other than what I have seen online. I have reached out to WEN to see if they are interested in sending a review unit. I have never worked with the people at WEN so I don't know if they will be interested or not.
The WEN scroll saw is selling on Amazon for under $400 and looks to have a nice set of features. We don't have any saws currently in that price range that stand out. This might be a welcome addition.
