Cutting Board Scroll Saw Pattern.

This cutting board comes in three sizes. 6", 7", and 8". One side is for display and the other for cutting.

The board is two layers glued together. You will get better results if you stack cut the two layers. After the layers are cut remove the bottom layer and then cut the lettering.

Select the boards based on the thickness you want the finished cutting board to be.

There are always questions about finishing cutting boards. Below is a video from the ToolMetrix YouTube channel that gives some really nice suggestions.

Digital Caliper sold by Qfun:

I receive quite a few emails from sellers of products requesting that I review the product. Many(most) are just not relevant to my blog so I politely turn the request down. It makes no sense for me to review a digital projector here. It can be difficult to say no to a free item but it would be unfair to them and you.

This digital caliper from Qfun is a tool that does have a use in our workshops. I have a few calipers. I don't use them every day but I use them enough to be valuable to have.  I decided to accept this tool for review because I was very interested in the large display.

This caliper will measure up to 6"/150mm. The three tactile feel buttons are from left, Imperial/metric, on/off, and zero. They have a nice click when pressed.

The caliper uses a CR2032 battery. It comes with one battery installed and an extra. There is a multi-language manual and cleaning cloth included.

The Qfun caliper will measure outside, inside, and depth. I checked its accuracy with my  1 2 3 block and found it to be right on the money. The movement was smooth and it locked into a position accurately with the thumbscrew on top.

My favorite feature of the Qfun caliper is the large display. The numbers are nearly 3/4" tall. Maybe its my age but I find these super easy to read.

I find the Qfun caliper to be well built. At $29.99 on Amazon the price is reasonable. I have paid less for a couple of my other calipers but the quality and design were not as good as the Qfun product. You can spend $500 on a nice Starrett digital caliper but I can't justify that in my shop. The Qfun does everything I need.
