I received a question in my email today about my business:

Each year my blog gains more/new readers. They often have questions about my business and policies.

1. The first question is always, can I sell the projects made from your patterns? Absolutely. I do not restrict the sale of projects made from my patterns. All I ask is that the patterns not be sold or distributed without my permission. Sell away.

2. Are my patterns actually free? My business model is based on advertising and donations. The patterns can absolutely be downloaded for free. If you enjoy what I do and wish to support my efforts then a donation or using my affiliate links is most appreciated. No obligation to do either.

3. How many people do I employ and who designs the patterns? Me, myself, and I all three work full time to keep the doors open. I started the Scrollsaw Workshop in 2007. Every pattern is designed by me and my dog Holly. She is the brains of the business. Today's cat pattern caused a riff but she finally let me post it.

4. If you sign up for the email newsletter do I sell your name and email address. Nope. Never have and never will.

5. Can I distribute the email newsletter in different languages? This one always makes me chuckle because it is a struggle for me to get the English language newsletter readable.

Try this. go to, https://translate.google.com/  . Click the button that says websites and enter the URL of my web site. Select your native language and the page will be loaded with that language. Here is a sample of today's post in Spanish.
