Today we have a fancy rooster scroll saw pattern. The pattern comes in two sizes. The small pattern stands about 5" tall and the large pattern is over 9" tall. Mr. Rooster really wanted to have some color so I painted him. I also applied some indoor/outdoor acrylic finish so I can put him in my garden.
Holy Cow! That is Impressive!
Several weeks ago I did a video review of the Makeblock x-Tool D1 10w diode laser. It is an impressive laser for the price. At the time the folks at Makeblock told me they had a 20w laser module in the works. I got one in the mail yesterday and wanted to show you a quick test of the module.
This video is under three minutes because it is not a review. I need to use it a little longer before I do the complete review. This is just an example of the power of this module upgrade.
In the video, I cut through 3/4" thick wood which is very impressive for a diode laser. Understand that this is just a demonstration. This laser is not going to be used to cut 3/4" thick wood. It will cut it but it also burns the, you know what out of it.
It is useful only because it tells us that we will be able you engrave faster and cut 1/4" thick wood with no problem.
Many of you purchased the 10w x-tool D1 and may be interested in this upgrade. I will try to get a full review of the 20w module once I get it all zeroed in and have a better understanding of what it will do.
