This Halloween hanging lantern is 8" tall. In the short video above I have installed a flame bulb that give a spooky look to the lantern. The bulb is currently $13 on Amazon. You could also just use an inexpensive yellow light bulb if that is easier.
The pattern is cut from 1/4" Baltic birch plywood. If you plan to use it outside then use a waterproof glue. Paint the lantern and it is ready to go.
I did not have a chain to wrap the cord in but that is my intention.
Dust collection on a scroll saw is difficult. You need to extract the dust from both the top and bottom of the table to be effective. Most scroll saw dust collectors only do their work under the table. The fine dust particles that float in the air need to be collected above the table. These are the particles that end up in your lungs and can cause serious health problems. You should still wear a mask but the Scrollnado dust collection system has above and below table collection of the dust.
