This is a mildly challenging table puzzle. These are always fun to have sitting on coffee tables when guests stop by. This puzzle only has four pieces but it can take a few minutes to solve. The puzzle is cut from 1/4" thick Baltic birch plywood. I painted the four pieces just to add a little pop.

SPOILER ALERT: You can see the solution by clicking the button below. The solution is also on the last page of the pattern.

Sovol SV01 Pro 3D Printer: Initial Impressions

I have been in the market to replace my older 3D printer. I did quite a bit of research and decided on the Sovol SV01 Pro printer. I wanted to stay under $400, I wanted a larger build area, and I wanted auto bed leveling. The Sovol SV01 Pro had all of these features plus more.

The current price is $369, It has an 11" X 9.5" X 11.8" build area and auto bed leveling. I watched all the 3d Print guru videos on YouTube on this printer. All the videos were very positive for a printer in this price range.

I use 3D printers to print parts and accessories for things I need in my shop. The comfort knob below was something I printed with this new printer today. I designed this knob a few years ago and needed another one so it was a good model to test on the new printer.

The assembly and setup of the SV01 were very simple. Four screws and 4 or 5 plugs and it was ready to level the bed. Bed leveling is much easier than my old 3D printer thanks to the auto bed leveling sensor.

The color touchscreen user interface is really nicely designed and responsive. It is a huge improvement over my old printer.

My test print of the knob went very well. The print quality was excellent considering I did not software adjustments in the slicer. The stock profile did fine. The knob printed in about 20 minutes which is a little faster than my older printer.

I have only had this printer in my shop for one day but so far I like it. If you are looking for a large print capacity 3D printer then take a look at the Sovol SV01 Pro.
