This pattern has all the alphabet and numbers cut from blocks that are 3.5" wide and 5.5" tall. Having all the characters the same size gives a more uniform look when displayed.
3/4" thick wood will allow the letters to stand on their own but you could also glue them to a base. Paint is another option to add some color.

I rate the DeWalt DW788 as a mid-level scroll saw. If you have an entry-level saw and would like to move into something much more comfortable and reliable then this is a good opportunity.
INFORMATION: I may miss a couple of days here on the blog. My daughter is moving to a new house and I will be helping with the move.
