This set of two-layer initials is 7.5" tall. They range between 3.75" and 8" wide. You can use any thickness of wood that suits your project. These could be cut from inexpensive MDF and painted.

Danielle, from the Wendell Woodworks YouTube channel, put together a simple project that I think you may be interested in. She also shows a product that is very interesting. It is called the Wood Scorch Pro marker. The marker has a chemical that you draw on the surface of the wood. Then when you use a heat gun over the chemical it leaves a scorch mark similar to wood burning.
Danielle uses her stencil cutter to make stencils that she uses with the markers. It is a very effective process that has many craft uses.
