This clock uses a 2 7/8" clock insert but a 2 3/4" will work as well. Here is a link to Bear Woods selection of clock inserts. You can cut the clock from 1/4" thick wood.
The final clock will stand about 18" tall.
To make the laser-cut clock below I reduced the pattern to 50% and used 1/8" Baltic birch plywood.
This made the clock stand 9" tall. At this size, it would be difficult to cut with a scroll saw but not impossible if you want to give it a shot.
