This pedestal candle holder is cut from 1/4" thick wood the base is 1/2" thick. It will hold up to a 5" diameter candle.

This will be a fairly challenging project to cut. There are a lot of interior cuts with some pretty small areas. There are a couple parts that are available for stack cutting. With this number of cuts, stacking will significantly speed up the project.

Second Pattern for Today:

This is a very simple pattern. It is a small trash bin for sitting beside your desk or craft table. The pattern has no ornamentation. Just a simple trash bin. It is cut from 1/4" thick plywood. It stand ten inches tall.

WEN 6524 Oscillating Belt and Spindle Sander

Sanding is a necessary task in woodworking. It is not the most enjoyable task so having the right tools can make the job easier. Hand sanding will get most jobs done but at the expense of lots of time and effort.

Oscillating spindle sanders are a good match to have next to your scroll saw. I call it my mistake eraser. The spindle sander makes sanding curves quick and easy. When you cut a circle the human eye will quickly pick up any imperfections. With the spindle sander, you can slightly cut outside the patterns line and then sand to the line for a near-perfect circle.

The WEN 6524 also is equipped with a belt sander. It is always nice to have multifunction tools if you work in a small shop.
