When I posted the cutting board the other day it received a lot of interest. I thought I would make another one. This one is an 8" diameter circle. There are two 1/2" thick layers. The top layer is the display side with lettering. The reverse side is for food prep.

I don't know how practical epoxy inlay is on a cutting board so I did some research. It showed that epoxy is food safe after it is fully cured. It can actually be a benefit because epoxy is easy to clean. It did say that epoxy is okay for light cutting but will show knife marks. I would not use the epoxy side for cutting. I ran across several YouTube videos of folks making epoxy inlay cutting boards.

I also found that Titebond II and III are recommended as food safe for indirect food contact.  Those would be the best choice for cutting boards.

As an alternative to the cutting board, you can make a simple kitchen sign with this pattern as shown below. Just use 1/4" thick boards.
