This sewing accessory box is 10" wide and 5" deep. It is cut from 1/4" thick wood. If you are interested in building this project it would be nice to replace the letters SEW with the person's name.
When I was in high school back in 1974 we had to take a home economics class. Part of the class was to design and make a t-shirt. That was the first and maybe last time I used a sewing machine. My T-shirt was pretty badly constructed. I remember that one sleeve was shorter than the other and the bottom hem fell apart. I have always heard that using a sewing machine is similar to using a scroll saw. Nope!
My wife, Patty has lots of skill with sewing and embroidery. We are just now in the process of setting up a new sewing room. All new tables and shelving. It is starting to look pretty good. She has not had the sewing room set back up since we moved to Indiana so she is looking forward to getting it finished. We are waiting for one more piece of large furniture and we should be able to get it complete.
I think she enjoys the embroidery machine more than sewing. It seems a little more creative and is easier to make gifts for family and friends.
