Both of these craft room decorations are cut from 1/4" thick plywood. The sewing machine is three layers thick and the craft room sign is two layers. The craft room sign is 14" wide. The sewing machine is 12.5" wide.
My wife, Patty has always loved to sew and use her embroidery machine. When we moved to Indiana a couple of years ago we never took the time to set up her sewing room so she has been missing her crafts. A few weeks ago we started the process of getting the room ready for new craft room furniture. This week we finally got all the furniture assembled and set up. She now has separate furniture for her sewing machine and embroidery machine. She also has a large fold-out cutting/assembly table. All the furniture is white and looks great. The embroidery table is a mechanical marvel. Power lift and more folding doors/shelves than I thought were possible. Luckily she paid to have that piece pre-assembled.
We installed shelves in the large closet in the room for supplies and materials. Next, she wants a white trimmed peg board on one of the walls for hanging things and a TV on one of the walls.
She has a large southeast-facing window so she gets good morning light and a nice view of the backyard.
I think she is pretty pleased with what she has set up so far. Still quite a bit of work to do but it's coming along.
