Drink Tote and Peace Cross Scroll Saw Patterns.

 Two Patterns Today

I am running about 5 days to get the orders out right now. This includes Custom Ornaments, Signature Coins, USB Catalog drives, and 3D Name Plates. Demand for these items is heavy this year. It is taking me longer than expected to get them completed. I will do my best to get caught up today. Thanks for your patience and thanks for the orders.

Before I talk about today's patterns I want to mention a problem I have. A couple of times a week I get an email from one of you telling me that you have seen my patterns being sold or posted on another site. This is done without my permission.  It is unfortunate that there are people out there who take from others but it happens a lot. I do appreciate that you took the time to try and help protect me and my patterns.

My patterns are not allowed to be sold or published on any other site without my permission. I have to take some responsibility for the problem because I make the patterns so easy to get even for the crooks. They are free to download and I rely on donations. That has worked very well and I get to do what I love to do every day.

Almost all of the sites that sell/publish my patterns have been outside the US. I will normally email and ask them to stop but of course that never works. I am not significantly financially harmed but I feel bad for the folks who purchase a pattern from these thieves because they could have gotten them from me for free. I also worry that the files may be injected with malware.

My suggestion is to only buy patterns from sources that you trust. If the site has thousands of patterns and they all look different in style then be suspicious. These sites are stealing my patterns but they are also stealing patterns from designers who are significantly financially harmed. This will limit the patterns available from these talented designers if they can't earn income from the patterns. Thanks for listening and be careful.

PATTERNS:
I have two patterns for you today. The drink tote is probably better suited for picnic weather but I wanted one so we get it in the winter. :) The pattern calls for 1/4" thick wood. Plywood is a good choice for this project.

The Pray for Divine Peace Cross came from me watching the news. I want to stay informed but I am trying to limit the intake just for my own mental health. I have become convinced that the only hope for peace in this world is divine peace.

The cross is also all 1/4" thick wood but you could cut the cross from thicker wood and just cut the dove from 1/4" wood.

Custom Portrait Patterns by Charles Dearing.

I get several requests a year to do custom portrait patterns for people. I seldom do them for two reasons. They can take hours to do and I am just not very good with that type of pattern. Fortunately, I have a friend who is one of the best portrait pattern designers in the world. Charles Dearing has been designing portrait-style patterns for years. He is the guy I send people to when they want a portrait pattern.

Here is the link to Charle's site. He has a Custom Pattern link where you can learn more about the pattern and get a quote for the price. His beginning price is $50 but depending on the detail you want the price can go up. This is a good price. There is a ton of work involved in these patterns. If you are interested in getting a pattern done then reach out to Charles.
