This will not surprise those of you who have been on my blog for a while. I need to catch up on answering emails. I am several days behind. It is unlikely that I will be able to respond to all of them so if you need an answer you may have to resend the email. I am sorry for the nonresponse but a couple hundred emails are waiting. I have two patterns for you today. Both are cut from 1/4" thick wood.
Solar Eclipse
We did have the opportunity to travel to a spot to view the eclipse yesterday. I took the photo below just as the total phase was ending and you can see the diamond in the lower left corner of the moon. We arrived a few hours early and set up a picnic. The weather was perfect. The temperature was in the 70s with a nice breeze. There were a few scattered clouds but they never got in the way of the viewing.
It was pretty much what I call a perfect day. Great weather. Visiting with family, good food, and watching an event as spectacular as an eclipse. I hope some of you were also able to enjoy the event.
