I have mentioned that moving out into the county a couple of years ago has been an experience. I have always lived in small cities. Since moving to the county I have seen more wildlife than I ever expected.
A couple days ago I left our house and I saw an eagle about a mile down the road. He was fairly high so I thought it was just a buzzard but as he came closer it was clear that he was in an eagle. An amazing sight.
The only eagles I have ever seen were in captivity. It was incredible to see one in nature. My daughter and son-in-law had one on their property just a week ago but I did not get to see that one.
In just the past few months, I've spotted a wildcat, an eagle, a woodpecker, and a fox. Meanwhile, over at my daughter's place, they've had encounters with coyotes, otters, snapping turtles, snakes, and deer. I understand that for many of you, this might seem unremarkable, but for me, it's truly a treat.
The eagle pattern will be easy to cut. There are two 1/4" thick layers. While thinking about the eagle pattern another eagle came to mind. "The eagle has landed", was one of the famous quotes from Neil Armstrong as he and Buzz landed on the moon for the first time.
I believe that we are coming up on the 55th anniversary of the first moon landing. I was eleven years old and watched every minute of the broadcast. It was estimated that 600 million people watched the event live worldwide. All these years later, it is still in the top ten viewed events ever on television.
