The Dinosaur pattern will be difficult to cut because the body section will be fragile. The pattern has a dotted line that indicates a temporary section to add strength. Leave that section until you have all the space below the body cut. Then you can carefully cut that section away.
The skeleton is 12" long and calls for 1/2" thick wood. You can optionally use 1/4" if you only have that available. This is another project where plywood is the best material because it is so strong.
The Dog Leash holder pattern calls for 1/2" thick and 1/4" thick wood. You will also need some hooks to hold the leashes. If you want to avoid buying the hooks the wooden dowel rods will work fine. Just drill the holes at a slight up angle.
