That is a bit too philosophical for me but the design of two Koi circling looks cool. The pattern is 10.25" wide and is cut from two 1/4" thick layers. I tried to make most of the delicate pieces connect with something so they were less fragile. I think it is pretty stable at this point.
The Gladiators pattern is almost 24" wide and cut from multiple parts. The Colosseum backer is optional. The pattern calls for 1/4" thick wood.
