Christmas in Jult plus Hot Rod Scroll Saw Patterns

Information:

The Community Forum is a lot of work. About 100 people a day try to sign up. The problem is that maybe two or three of those folks are actual people and the rest are bots/spammers. I have to go in and delete all the attempted subscribers who are not real people. I have tried using software to detect the spammers but they are not very effective so I do it manually. That means I have to look at everyone and decide who is real and who is a spammer.

Some are easier than others like this one.  (XXXXXX@skincareproductoffers.com) I Xed out the real name but the rest is likely a spam email. I ran this one through a software email address checker and it came back as Risky. Risky is enough to make me delete the user. The problem is that it may be a real person who wants to join. I am often not certain. Some legitimate subscribers get bounced and I am sorry for that but I have to err on the side of caution.

There are over 3,700 registered users but most of them are not active. As you can see from the stats below, new posts have declined every year since 2010. In 2011 there were 44,000 new posts. In 2023 there were 175 new posts.

I am telling you all of this because I am trying to come to a decision if I should just shut it down. If you wish to have some input then send me an email.

I want to be perfectly clear that this will have no impact on the blog itself. I will continue to work the blog as I always have with daily free patterns.

I try to do a Christmas in July every year. The Christmas decoration won't be too difficult to cut but it is large. When stacked as shown in the image above it is over 18" long. You can use any thickness you like. You can glue them together to each other or add basses and stand them separately.

The Hot Rod pattern is a little over 12" long. It is designed to be hung with chains or twine. You can also use any thickness you like but there are a few small interior cuts so 1/4" might make an easier cut at the saw.

For those of you who are car people, this video is an open house with some nice looking Hot Rods.

The USB drive contains all the Scrollsaw Workshop Patterns. The drive is $25 plus shipping and handling. Now with the new distributor the drive ships to the US and many other countries.
