My favorite time of the year to design scroll saw patterns is the holiday season. The process is enjoyable because I know many of you will enjoy making and gifting the projects. I hope you like today's patterns.
The first is a seated snowman. He is over 10" tall and cut from 1/2" and 1/4" wood. The sign is optional but adds a little festiveness to the project.
The Gift Card / Cash ornament was an idea from my wife. The ornament is a little larger than a typical ornament but the receiver will not mind if you throw a few bucks in it.
The slot in the ornament is for a standard-size gift card. 3.375" X 2.125". If you prefer you can fold cash and put it in the ornament. The ornament can be cut from 1/8" or 1/4" thick wood. The back of the ornament can be signed with a marker. Test the marker on the same wood before you do the actual signing to make sure there is no bleeding of the ink.
