Hey guys the Cobra pattern will be the perfect project to hang in your wife's kitchen. She will love it. That is not a great idea but if you do make sure the frying pan is hidden.

The Cobra pattern is 10.25" tall and 11.5" wide, There are three layers of 1/4" thick wood.

I am trying to remember if I have mentioned this before on the blog but I have always enjoyed handling snakes. I have never dealt with a venomous snake and never will but I have owned boa constrictors and other species of small snakes. I have been bitten several times but only from my own errors. The first large snake I had the opportunity to handle was a six-foot boa. This was sometime around 1980. The owner of a pet store saw my interest and she allowed me to hold the snake. It was very docile but its strength was incredible. Without the owner there to assist I would have had trouble getting it unwrapped from my arms and chest. The boas I owned were much smaller and I was able to handle them without much trouble. I was never bitten by my boas. All of my bites came from small garter snakes. They were more aggressive. When my wife and I married that was the end of my snake-owning days. I could marry her or have snakes but not both. I made the right choice. 😉

A side story. I was in that same pet store a couple of weeks ago. I was looking at a white python. It was beautiful. A lady came over to show me the snake and asked if I had an interest in snakes. I relayed the story from the 1980s. She smiled and told me that she was the same lady who let me hold the snake. Over 40 years later. We both aged a bit.

The decorative basket is not large. It is 8" long and 4" deep. All the parts are 1/4" thick. It is more of a decorative basket but large enough to hold small items.

The Angel pattern comes in two sizes. The small pattern is about 9.5" tall and the large pattern is a little over 12" tall. The layers are cut from 1/4" thick wood.
