Two patterns for you today. The first is a fretwork box. It can be used as a candle holder or just as an ornamental box. The base is 8" X 8" and it can hold up to a 5.5" diameter candle.
The model Pistol represents the Colt revolver, also known as the Peacemaker.
The Colt Single Action Army, often affectionately known as the "Peacemaker," is an iconic revolver that holds a significant place in American history, particularly during the era of the Wild West. Born in 1873, it was originally designed for the US Cavalry, and its reliability and powerful .45 Colt cartridge made it the official sidearm for two decades. Beyond its military service, the Peacemaker quickly gained popularity among civilians, including lawmen, outlaws, cowboys, and settlers, earning its reputation as "the gun that won the West." This single-action firearm, requiring the hammer to be cocked before each shot, became a symbol of the American frontier and remains a highly sought-after collectible and cherished piece of Americana.
I understand that some of you do not like it when I do a pattern using a firearm. I respect your opinion and ask that you not write to criticize my choice to make these patterns. Comments about the pattern are fine, but please understand that I will not debate the right to own guns or my right to make the pattern.
