Okay, okay. Today is Halloween, and it might be too late to cut these scary patterns, but I'm just in a spooky mood. Patty, Kellie, Shane, and I will hand out candy to the trick-or-treaters tonight. If the weather permits, I think we will be sitting outside to watch all the neighborhood children in their costumes. When nobody is watching, I might sneak some candy out of our stash. Don't tell Patty.

I won't go into detail about these patterns, but if you like them, go ahead and do the download to save for next year. To be honest, these are fairly easy patterns, so if you have some free time today, give one a try.

Before and after the children go out trick-or-treating tonight, let them play this Ghost Shooter game. It is simple to play but gets more challenging as time passes. It might not be good for very small children, but I'll let you be the judge of that.

The Angel Pattern is 10.5" tall and cut from 1/4" thick wood.

The Thanksgiving Turkey Pattern is 9" tall and cut from 1/4" and 3/4" thick wood

There are days when I really have to wonder about myself. Yesterday, I spent three or four hours working on the patterns, another hour rendering the graphics, and about twenty minutes writing the blog post. After all that—five or six hours of work—I went to bed without ever hitting the publish button. 😁 My poor brain. Ever wake up in the morning and think, “Dang, I’m getting old”? That was me this morning. Sorry, I missed you all yesterday. I will click the Publish button tonight!

  For those of you who enjoy my games, I have a pool game for you. It is a single-player game in which the goal is to pocket all the balls in the fewest shots possible. The play mechanics are easy, but the game is challenging. You click on the cue ball and hold the mouse button as you drag away from the ball to set the direction and power of the shot. 

Each shot adds 1 to your score. If you scratch the cue ball, that adds a penalty shot to the score. My personal low score after a few minutes of play is 28 shots. Email me your low score when you have a good game.

I am going to start with the ornaments for people. I will add the Pet ornaments later this week. Every year, I get backed up early, but I will do my best to get the order to you in less than a week. You do not pay until you have the order in your email. These are all shipped by email. No paper delivery.

The price is the same as every year. People = 5 ornaments minimum for $5, then $1 for each additional ornament. The order form will take 20 names, then if you need more, you will have to start another order.

Pet Ornaments have no minimum order and the cost is $2 per name. 

It is best to use the person's first name. Last names can be too long and very difficult to cut. I will do last names, but I just don't recommend them unless they are shorter names. Here is a sample download link for an ornament with a ten-letter last name. Test before you order.

Basketball Players plus Butterfly Scroll Saw Patterns

The Basketball Players Pattern is just over 8" tall, and the pattern calls for 1/4
 and 1/2" thick wood. This is another one of my layered designs, and there are zero interior cuts so this will be an easy project to cut.

The season is soon ending here for gardening, but the butterfly can be hung outdoors for a touch of spring. Make sure you use a waterproof glue and exterior paint to protect the piece. The butterfly os just over 10" wide and the pattern calls for 1/4" thick wood.

Something More Useful Than One of My Games.

 Let me start by saying this important message. Do not depend on this app for emergency information. If it reports severe weather, immediately tune to your local weather channel.

I wanted to try something a bit more useful when I created this app. It is a local weather app for your local weather. You will be asked to allow your browser to share your location with the app. The data is not seen by me, but if this information concerns you, then do not use the app.

I use two data sources to get the app's data: the National Weather Service and an API named Open-Meteo. The NWS data includes severe weather reports, and Open-Meteo gives me the current weather and local 7-day forecast. I have no idea what bugs are still in the app, so please email me if you use it and discover a problem. I am not certain what data is available outside the US, so it may not work internationally.
