Moose have their unique charm, and their "homely" appearance is part of what makes them endearing. With their long faces, oversized snouts, and gangly legs, they might not fit the classic image of elegance. They also do not make it easy to create a scroll saw pattern. Yes, I know he is strange-looking but I had a request and gave it my best shot.
His antlers are almost ten inches wide and he is eight inches tall. He is cut from 1/4" thick and 3/4" thick wood but you can get away with using a 3/4" if that is what you have available.
Notice that I sanded the top of his snout back to give it more shape.
The You Are My Light, candle holder will hold up to a 4" diameter candle. It stands 5" tall and is cut from 1/4" thick wood. This is a nice extra gift for Valentine's Day.
