The Bulldozer pattern is about 10" long. It is a simple pattern in terms of detail. If you plan to allow your younger children to use it as a toy, consider not leaving the front smoke stack off, as it will likely get broken and be a possible choking hazard.
The Great Egret bird stands a little over 10 inches tall. He is cut from 3/4" and 1/4" thick wood.
The Great Egret (Ardea alba) is a large, strikingly white wading bird distinguished by its long, black legs and feet, and a dagger-like yellow bill, which turns orange during the breeding season. Commonly found in both freshwater and saltwater wetlands, marshes, and along shorelines, it is an adept hunter, patiently stalking or standing motionless to spear fish, amphibians, insects, and other small aquatic creatures with a swift thrust of its S-curved neck. Historically, its beautiful breeding plumes, called aigrettes, led to severe population declines due to the millinery trade in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, but conservation efforts have allowed this elegant bird to make a significant recovery, and it is now a widespread and relatively common sight across much of the globe.
