Five interesting facts about Lions.
1. Not all lions roar: While known for their majestic roar, not all lion species actually possess this ability. For instance, the critically endangered Asiatic lion has a much weaker roar compared to its African cousin.
2. They are the only truly social cats: Unlike most other cat species that are solitary, lions live in prides, which are family units that can consist of up to 40 individuals.
3. Lionesses do most of the hunting: Despite the male lion's fierce reputation, it's the lionesses who typically do the majority of the hunting for the pride. Males often protect the territory and help with larger prey.
4. A group of lions is called a "pride," but also a "sawt.": While "pride" is the most common term, a lesser-known collective noun for lions is a "sawt."
5. Cubs are born blind and helpless: Lion cubs are born with their eyes closed and are completely dependent on their mother for the first few weeks of their lives.
The Lion Pattern is 10.25" from nose to tail tip. All of the layers are 1/4" thick. There a couple of fragile cuts in this pattern, so go slow and gently.
Every storefront business needs an Open for business sign. This one is 8" tall. The pattern calls for 1/4" and 3/4" thick wood but you can use all 1/4" thick wood ig you like.
The Delta Blues is one of the earliest and most influential styles of blues music, born in the Mississippi Delta during the early 20th century. Known for its raw emotion and stripped-down sound, it was often played by solo musicians with just a guitar and voice. The style is marked by sliding notes, rhythmic fingerpicking, and haunting lyrics that reflect both hardship and resilience. Legendary artists like Robert Johnson, Son House, and Charley Patton shaped the sound, which later laid the foundation for rock ’n’ roll and inspired generations of musicians worldwide. It’s gritty, soulful, and deeply connected to the roots of American music.
