I have two word art patterns for you today. The Merry Christmas pattern is 10.25" long and cut from 3/4" thick wood.
The Happy New Year pattern is 16.5" tall and cut from 3/4" thick wood. The pattern comes in four sections, so it can be stacked and glued together or simply set on your mantle.
The Giving Season
I’m lucky enough to get a few scroll saw and woodworking club newsletters, and this time of year always hits a little differently. A lot of these clubs team up to make handmade toys for underprivileged kids in their communities. For some of those kids, it might be the only gift they get.
It’s honestly pretty heartwarming to see people spend their own time and money to help others. If you’re one of the folks who volunteers, thank you — it truly matters.
One group in Georgia, the Gwinnett Woodworkers Association (GWA), really stands out. I’ve had the honor of attending a couple of their events, and they cut hundreds of toys for children in the Appalachian region. They’re a big club with members who step up for all kinds of causes, from helping kids to supporting veterans. And they’re just one example of the many clubs out there giving their time and resources to make a difference.
If you have a club in your area, consider joining. Not only will you benefit, but your efforts may very well benefit others in your community.
