Revisiting Portrait Patterns.

I have received several emails lately asking about designing Portrait style patterns. It has been a long time since we talked about this subject so I thought I would post a video I did some time back. In this tutorial I show how to use Paint Shop Pro X2 to create a portrait pattern of Elvis.

This program can be found on Amazon.com and the newest version is under $80. If you don't mind buying the last version it can be had for under $50 before shipping. Link to PSP on Amazon.

There are other bitmap graphics program that can do the same thing but I like all the features of PSP. There are even a couple of free programs that can get the job done. One free program is Gimp. It is a very nicely featured program that you can download from http://www.gimp.org/.

The menus and selection will be different from program to program but the technique is the same. If you are interested in designing portrait patterns take a look at this tutorial video and I think you will agree it's pretty easy.
