Cool tip of the day.

I received this tip in my email today and though I would pass it along. Ibrahim Al Abdulaly knows the importance of keeping his fingers safe. You see, he is a surgeon in Saudi Arabia. He is also a woodworker and scroll saw hobbyist.

The pictures below speak for themselves so I won't add anything except that I could see this being handy for more than just fishing out scroll saw pieces. With a longer stick you could grab those scroll saw blades you drop behind the machine. Pick up scraps of paper without bending over. You get the idea. I think I'll make one for myself and keep it by the saw. I'm sure it will get saw dust on it pretty quick but just roll another ball and your back in business.

The picture below shows the Ace brand of paper tack. It is sold at Ace Hardware stores. I suspect it can be found at office supply stores also but I have not looked yet.
