This cute little lamp was sent to me from Dick Osterhout. He made the lamp from my bowl pattern shown below. It sure makes a better lamp shade than a bowl. The bowl pattern is linked below if you want to give it a try.
Dick used a low wattage nightlight bulb. He says the light shining through the shade makes a nice pattern. Looks like he turned the lamp post on a lathe but it would not be too hard to come up with an alternative if you don't have a lathe. Notice how he kept the design going in the base.
