Basketball Trophy Scroll Saw Pattern.

I got sick just in time for the weekend. I started feeling bad late Friday so I have been laying in front of the television all day watching basketball. I watched the Kentucky vs LSU, Louisville vs Cincinnati, Syracuse vs Duke and the Arizona vs Colorado games. There are a lot of great young players on some very good teams this year. I wish a few of these young guys would stay in college long enough to see them get even better. Can't hardly blame them for going to the NBA and cashing in. My Kentucky Wildcats are full of young guys. They start five freshmen. They are a decent team but if we could get them to return for their sophomore year I think they could be incredible. Unfortunately that's not likely to happen.

After binging on bball all day I thought I would make another basketball trophy. This one is eight inches tall. There is a pattern for each eligible number. If you have a school that you support this might be a nice trophy for the guys to keep. The image of the basketball in the background is included in the pattern book. Glue it to the backer board then glue the backer to the trophy.

Without too much trouble you could add the school name in place of the "Let's Play" to customize the trophy.    www.stevedgood.com/basketball14.pdf Just wanted to mention The Lifter from www.papasworkshop.net . This is a great product if you own a DeWalt DW788. If you own this saw you know that there is a feature that is missing. The upper arm will not stay up when changing blades. The Lifter fixes that flaw. It's easy to install and easy to use. The Lifter is $29.95 but for the readers of the Scrollsaw Workshop you can get it for $24.95 by using the voucher code "steveg". Just enter the voucher code in the checkout page to get this deal.
