After you cut all the pattern then just go back with the blade and follow the lines. They are designed to start from an exterior and finish before they cut the project apart. Notice the line that separates the two ears. It starts at the middle of the two ears and ends at the bottom of the ear. The eyelashes start inside the eye and go up. All the veining is done with this approach. I sometimes switch to a number 7 blade to cut veining. It is thick enough to make the veining stand out.
