Running this blog gives me a great deal of enjoyment. I love the creative side of what I do and I love meeting and working with people all over the world. I have also always been a computer enthusiast so I even enjoy the technical side of maintaining a web site.

The last two days however have strained that enjoyment. :) To make a long, long story short the database server for my site died. That took down my free online catalog and the Community forum. My hosting service worked to get the hardware fixed but the databases were corrupted so backups had to be used.

Luckily the database backup for the Online catalog worked and I only lost two days of data. Easy to fix. Unluckily the backup for the Community forum is not working. The data is still there but I can't get it to connect to the forum software. After many hours and little sleep I give up. I'm going to have to call in some expert help.

What this means is that the forum may be down a couple more days. Hang in there with me and I'll get it fixed as soon as possible.
