Welcome to our Farm Scroll Saw Pattern.

Small dairy farms are in trouble. The prices they can get for their milk, grain and other commodities have been falling the last few years. For many, this means the end of a lifestyle that has been there for generations. They work sixteen hour days and still have trouble just making ends meet.

Bankruptcies are up and with them, the suicide rate has peaked for farmers. When farming is the only way you have ever been able to feed your family it is devastating when it goes under.

I have no idea if there is an answer to the plight of the American farmer but it is a huge loss for all of us if they don't survive. There will still be food on the shelves at your market but who knows where it came from. I am happy to pay a little more for food that is grown locally. 

If the opportunity arises please support your local farms. If you see a roadside farmers market, stop and pick up some fresh vegetables and fruit. Your taste buds will thank you and the local farmer may be able to pay his bills and keep farming.
