New England Patriots Super Bowl LIII Champions Scroll Saw Pattern.

The New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13 - 3 to become the Super Bowl LIII champions. As the score indicates this was a defensive battle. Don't let the score fool you. The offense for each side was not bad. The defenses were just great.

I have watched a lot of football in my days and I can't remember a game where both teams played this high a caliber of defense. You often see one team be dominant on defense but not both and not to this level. I think the game came down to one drive where the Rams defense just looked tired. Tom Bardy took advantage and masterfully drove down the field for the winning score.

Some fans might call this a boring game because of the lack of scoring. I thought it was entertaining and exciting to watch and see who would break down first. Unfortunately for Rams fans, their defense cracked for about 5 plays and that was enough to give New England the championship.

Congratulations to the New England Patriots and their fans. I hope this pattern will give you something to remember this up and down and up again year for the Patriots.

Congratulations to the Los Angeles Rams for an outstanding season. The Rams fans can be proud.

Clogged Glue Bottle Tip, Tip: Get it? Tip, Tip :)

I buy wood glue by the gallon and refill glue bottles that I buy at Woodcraft. Even if you buy off the shelf bottles this tip will work. Here is the link to the glue bottles I buy. They are only $2.99. I have also used cheap dollar store plastic ketchup bottles but they don't last too long.

I keep two identical bottles. One bottle has the glue and the other bottle is kept full of water.

Even if you don't follow this glue bottle tip it's handy to have a bottle of water in the shop. I use it for many different purposes.

When you use the glue bottle the tip will eventually get clogged. If you store the bottle upside down it helps but I still end up eventually clogging the tip. Sometimes you can poke at it and get it cleared but other times I end up cutting off part of the tip just to get the glue flowing.

If you keep an extra identical bottle filled with water you can easily clean the tip at the end of a job.
Remove the cap from both bottles and swap them.

Now with the glue bottle tip on the water bottle, you are ready to clean the tip. It works best if you use hot water but I never go to that much trouble unless I am having trouble getting the glue cleaned out. That only happens if I let it stand for a while.

Shake the bottle a few times and then squeeze out the water with some force. This will push most of the glue out of the tip. If you use the cheap plastic ketchup bottle you will have a mess if you squeeze the water out too fast. The cap will fly off and water goes everywhere. If that sounds like experience talking you are correct.

Swap the tips back to their original bottles and you have a glue bottle that will be ready for use without the headaches when you need it next.

If you use off the shelf bottles then just save the empty glue bottle when it is used up. Fill it with water and buy the same glue when you restock.

I thought I would search Amazon for bottles that had good reviews. I was looking for reviews that said the caps sealed well and did not come off easily. This pack has 16 oz bottles which are a good size for glue. The ad says they come in a seven pack but it looks like a six pack. They are only $12 so either way, that's not too bad. I have not tried these bottles so I can't give my personal stamp of approval. If you use different types of glue it mich be nice to have a few bottles.

Email Apologies:

I feel like I have to make this apology more often than I would like. I truly am sorry that I can't get to more of the email you all send me. I have set aside a couple hours a day to just work on email. I need about five hours a day to properly answer the questions and comments. I might be able to find that much time but I would go stark raving mad if I spent that much time typing with my two finger typing skills. I'm actually pretty fast with two fingers but not fast enough.

All I can do is ask that you be patient with me. If you don't get a reply in a few days it is fine to send the questions again.

Confessions of a capitalist:

I get this email question at least once a week. "I can't download the pattern. Where is the download link?" Let me explain.

When I format the post to upload to the blog I intentionally put the download button further down the page. It is not right next to the picture of the project. Yes, this is confusing if you are new to my blog. I do it for a reason.

I give my patterns away for free. I have to have a way to make the blog earn money. I might do some of this for free but I would burn out pretty quick. I spend several hours a day working on various parts of the blog. This is my full time job. Obviously, the blog posts have the items I sell and they have ads plus donation links. I need people to see those items. If the download link were at the top of the post that's as far as most people would go.

I am absolutely okay if you only visit my blog for the free patterns. Fortunately, some folks do see the other items I have to offer and spend money with me. Many also support me with kind donations.

So that's the reason I put the download button further down the page.
