Three Layer Ichthys Cross Scroll Saw Pattern.



This three-layer religious cross is just over ten inches tall. This is a pattern that could be enlarged and still be easy to cut. You can also leave off the two backer boards if you want an even easier pattern to cut. Just cut the front cross from 3/4" thick wood instead of 1/4". 

I also included a small version of the pattern that can be cut from a six-inch wide board.

Shop Apron and Shopping Tips:

I was asked today in an email what shop apron I use and recommend. I have posted the one I wear in the ad at the bottom of this post. It is inexpensive(Currently $15.51 on sale). It is not the highest quality apron I have owned but for the price it is great. 

I used to spend nearly $50 for my apron. That was a mistake because I ruin them before I wear them out. In about a year my apron is covered in glue and other junk. It still works but looks terrible. These less expensive aprons don't make me try so hard to keep them clean. 

When I was answering the email about the apron I looked for it on Amazon so I could send them the link. I noticed the current price was $15.51. That price changes all the time. The last one I bought was $14 and the one before that was $18. If you look at the apron don't be surprised if the price has changed.

Here is an Amazon price shopping tip. There is a web site that will show you the high and low prices on Amazon over time for a product. You can even ask it to email you when the price hits a certain dollar amount. The image above shows the apron price range. It goes from $12.41 to 21.72. 

That price difference is not too big of a deal but take a look at the DeWalt DW788 scroll saw. It ranges from a high of $632.50 to a low of $329.99. If you have the time to wait for a good price it is worth the effort to set up email alerts. You do have to give them your email address. Also, make sure that you only purchase from Amazon shipped items. CamelCamelCamel will give you third party shipped items also but I would not use them for expensive products.
